I-4: County Road 579 Improvements (March 1999)

With the reconstruction of I-4 came improvements to County Road 579 and the Exit 8 interchange. Looking north, the new CR 579 is now a 4-lane divided highway from U.S. Highway 92 (bottom of photo) to just south of Sligh Avenue (towards the top). The wider roadway, new storage lanes, and the improved interchange ramps have combined to greatly help traffic flow in this area.
