Night lane closures on westbound Fowler Avenue in I-75 area
TAMPA -- One lane will be closed on westbound Fowler Avenue at the Hillsborough River (west of I-75) between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday (June 17 - 19) nights.
Night lane closures on northbound I-75 between Fowler Avenue and Bruce B. Downs
TAMPA -- One lane may be closed on northbound I-75 in various areas between Fowler Avenue (Exit 265) and State Road 56 (Exit 275) from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday (June 17 - 20) nights.
Slow traffic two nights on southbound I-75 between I-275 and Fletcher Avenue
TAMPA -- Traffic will be controlled by law enforcement officers and paced slowly (around 15 MPH) on southbound I-75 from I-275 (Exit 274) to Fletcher Avenue (Exit 266) between 10:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday (June 19 and 20) nights. There will be two to three paces, each lasting up to 25 minutes.
Also, no traffic will be allowed to enter southbound I-75 at the Bruce B. Downs Boulevard interchange until the front of the traffic pacing has passed the entrance ramps.
Delays of around 20-30 minutes can be expected on southbound I-75 and on the ramps entering southbound I-75 at State Road 56 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. The pacing operations are needed for the installation of sign structures over the southbound lanes near the Hillsborough River and Fletcher Avenue.
Westbound Fowler Avenue entrance ramp to northbound I-75 closed two nights
TAMPA -- The westbound Fowler Avenue entrance ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday (June 19 and 20) nights. Drivers can u-turn at Morris Bridge Road and then use the eastbound entrance ramp.
Northbound I-75 traffic on temporary bridge over Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
NEW TAMPA -- Northbound I-75 traffic was switched to a temporary bridge over Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (Exit 270) May 8, 2012.
Drivers be alert!
> Be alert to the alignment change. South of the bridge, the travel lanes now curve to the right (towards the exit ramps), then straighten out and cross Bruce B. Downs, then curve to the left to rejoin the original alignment.
> The posted speed limit through the temporary lanes and bridge is 55 MPH.
> Northbound traffic will use the bridge for about 2 years as the two existing bridges are demolished and rebuilt.
